A Summary of Political Ideologies

Left wingism is defined as the endorsement of political equality. Right wingism is defined as the rejection of political equality.

Left wingers include but are not limited to: communists (of many kinds), socialists, democratic socialists, social democrat, neo-liberals, left-libertarians, and Eastern mysticists:

  • Communists want a moneyless, classless, stateless society that proportions a person's quality of life relative to their behavior;
  • Socialists are similar to communists, but they are satisfied with a society having some sort of monetary system, class, or state. The USSR was a state of Socialism that was trying to achieve a state of Communism;
  • Democratic Socialists (DemSocs) want socialism through voting;
  • Social Democrats (SocDems) want capitalism with welfare;
  • Neo-liberals want democracy, but they also want to correct for the lingering echoes of historical oppression against minorities;
  • Left-libertarians are socially left winged people that want property ownership, small government, marketplace of ideas, and other policies that are derived from the non-aggression principle (NAP); finally,
  • Eastern mysticists are kind of like transhumanists, but hard to explain without comparing them to Western mysticists.

Right wingers include but are not limited to: Nazis, fascists, nationalists, reactionaries, evangelical conservatives, Sowellian conservatives, neo-conservatives, classical liberals, right-libertarians, and Western mysticists:

  • Nazis want a master race;
  • Fascists want a eugenic ethnicity;
  • Nationalists want a master nation;
  • Reactionaries want a return to the past (e.g., 1950's America);
  • Evangelical conservatives want the church to be exempt from the State;
  • Sowellian conservatives want to reward the prudentially-minded;
  • Neo-conservatives are the Trump-style conservatives—think TPUSA—that want to combine Federalism with right-wing values;
  • Classical liberals inherit their ideology from John Locke; they want a capitalist democracy that doesn't try to correct for the past but instead focuses on the present and the future;
  • Right-libertarians want hundreds if not thousands of guns, and they want sole ownership of their property, currency, businesses, etc. I think the main difference between the left-libertarians and right-libertarians is that left-libertarians derive their views from ethics and right-libertarians derive their views from prudentiality. A left-libertarian focuses on inalienable human rights and a right-libertarian focuses on the necessity to distrust the government, authority, etc.; finally,
  • Western mysticists are like Gnostics that want to become the divine. The difference between Eastern mysticists (transhumanists) and Western mysticists is that Eastern mysticists are more naturalistic; they want to transform what it means to be human, whereas Western mysticists want to be a different being altogether, namely one bound to a divine realm.

Left wing extremists think in black and white. They think that a randomly selected person-in-question either deserves equality or deserves death—spiritual or physical—depending on the behavior of that person. Why? Because of their conviction for equality. Gray thinking—as opposed to black and white thinking—is incompatible with a conviction for equality. Because no gray is equal to another gray.

Right wing extremists think in gray. They think that a randomly selected person-in-question either deserves social promotion, equality, social demotion, spiritual death, physical death, or many other options in-between, depending on the nature and sometimes behavior of that person. That is to say, right wing extremism is more schismatic than left wing extremism—because gray thinking is more schismatic than black and white thinking.

The Old Testament does well to distinguish between spiritual death and physical death. The former—murder of the soul—is more about ruining someone's life and less about turning somebody into a corpse. Since right wing extremism is more schismatic than left wing extremism, the most extreme right wingers are more violent than the most extreme left wingers but the average right winger is more peaceful or peacefully minded than the average left winger.

A perfect example of this is the contrast between Tarrant's Cristchurch killing spree and the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Tarrant is the most extreme idiot among right wing extremists; he killed at least 50 peaceful Muslims in New Zealand—over 99.9% of right wingers are more peaceful and peacefully minded than Tarrant was. On the flipside, the assassination of Charlie Kirk accounts for just one death, but something like 53% of self-proclaimed left wingers support the death of Charlie Kirk—its around 56% for Donald J. Trump—compared with less than 3% of right wingers supporting the death of someone like Destiny or Kamala Harris. Of course, there is a difference between being violently minded and being a violent actor. On average, left wingers are more violently-minded (and act more violently) than right wingers. But a violently-minded right winger is far more likely than a violently-minded left winger to carry out acts of violence.

This begs the question: why is right wing extremism more schismatic than left wing extremism? One can only speculate. My theory is that right wing extremism is more taboo and therefore right wing extremists are decentralized. This forces right wing extremists to master the art of non-verbal communication and even telepathic communication in order to band together. Experience shows that they get shunned whenever they publicly reveal their right wing extremism—explicitly or implicitly. Left wing extremists—in contrast—don't have to worry about this and so they can just affirm each other on Reddit, Bluesky, Revult, etc.

What makes right wing extremism more taboo than left wing extremism? This is another hard question. The simple answer: the Allies won World War II aface the Axis, and the Axis is considered the historical paradigm of right wing extremism.

Riding the bandwagon is an extremely common and well-documented left wing activity. For example, Michael Bublé did a "masculine" cover of Santa Baby; a left winged activist got angry that he replaced the lyric "light blue" with the lyric "steel blue" because this allegedly insinuates that metallic colors are more masculine than light colors. It would be over-the-top to protest this. Nonetheless, a lot of left wingers on Twitter (before Elon Musk bought it and it became X) came out of the woodwork out of the blue—steel or light—to protest it and say things like they will not stand down to the patriarchy or whatever. Why do left wingers ride the bandwagon? They do it in part because they are afraid of each other. Left wingers—with their black and white thinking—feel the need to reassure one another that they think the same way. In fact, the average trend is that left wingers tend to be more afraid of left wingers than they are afraid of right wingers.

I think right wingers are far less likely to ride the bandwagon and I think its explained by their gray thinking. After all, gray thinking can be thought of as hierarchical thinking. I used to see a lot of right wing bandwagoning on Twitter, but I later learned that most if not all of that right winged activity came from bots. According to reliable sources, approximately 15% of Twitter/X accounts are run by bots. This is most frustrating.
